Jr. Dairy Leader Program
"Preparing our Young People for Successful Careers in the Dairy Industry"
The “Junior DAIRY LEADER” program is intended to reach youth between the ages of 16-19 who have interest in exploring careers in the dairy industry and would like to gain hands-on experience.
The program consists of a series of workshops that focus on specific facets of the dairy industry -- veterinary science, dairy nutrition, and production management. Other opportunities include:
- Representing New York State at National 4-H Dairy Conference - Madison, Wisconsin
- On-Farm Production Analysis
- Resume Development for Internship Opportunities
- Public Presentations with the Use of Computer Technology
- Northeast Agricultural Tour
- Wisconsin Agricultural Tour
- Regional Seminars
