Student help

 

Cornell students are invited to apply for part-time work at the sheep farm.

  • Responsibilities:  Feed and care for sheep in the barn and on pasture including care of newborn lambs and their mothers, moving portable electric fence, cleaning barns, feeding sheep, treating sick sheep, and keeping records.
  • Qualifications:  Previous farm animal experience desirable but not required.  Work study students or volunteers are preferred, but there are several paid postitions.  Must provide own transportation 15 miles to the farm. There is no bus service.
  • Benefits:  In addition to the chance for additional income, students have the opportunity to learn practical sheep management. There is also an opportunity for students to live very inexpensively in the Teaching and Research Center dormitory.
