2008 Block and Bridle Club Meeting Minutes
10 September 2008, 5 pm in 342 Morrison Hall
1. President Katie McGee introduced the club and officers and gave out an information sheet. Members were reminded to bring the $5 dues when they can.
2. A survey was handed out to get an idea of when folks would like to meet, what kinds of farms they would like to visit, when the best time is for halter breaking, and when would be a good time to have a meeting with Temple Grandin, an expert in handling livestock.
3. An email list was passed around.
4. We talked about the fundraising events including the ANSC Faculty Chili Valentine’s Day luncheon for which we will cook chili the night before.
5. We talked about the student livestock show. By a show of hands, we saw that members were interested in gaining experience learning how to handle the animals during the fall in anticipation of the spring Student Livestock Show.
6. An email will be sent out a week in advance of our next meeting. Look forward to an exciting year!
7. Any questions, concerns, or suggestions are welcome.
